SANTA FE DE ANTIOQUIA COLONIAL TOUR
Santa Fe de Antioquia is known for colonial houses, cobblestone streets and tamarind candies. The Puente de Occidente, made of wood and steel, was built in the 19th century by the local engineer José María Villa, it is suspended over the Cauca River in the northeast. In the main square of the town, is the whitewashed Metropolitan Cathedral with its high tower.
Its architecture from the colonial era stands out with 8 churches and several houses from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, in its streets fragments of Antioquenian chronicles of importance as historical heritage are preserved, which in addition to their remarkable beauty, led to the Congress of the Republic to grant it the title of National Monument in 1960.
